Biomuseo is a tribute to the abundance and variety of life in Panama. RLMG’s media transports visitors to the heart of Panama’s natural world, encouraging them to explore and protect it.
Designed by Gehry Partners, Biomuseo presents Panama as a bridge that connects diverse and dynamic ecosystems. As the lead media partner, RLMG was challenged to create media experiences that engage visitors as more than just viewers. Our approach focused on creating opportunities for close observation, shared appreciation, and an instinctive understanding of biodiversity.
Panamarama
Panamarama is a fully immersive media environment using 10 large-scale projections on 5 planes (floor, ceiling and 3 adjoining walls) and a 10-channel soundscape. Visitors are surrounded by breathtaking imagery and natural sounds of Panama’s diverse ecosystems, from ocean depths to cloud forests. All video was captured in the field using five ultra high-definition cameras.
World’s Collide combines life-sized sculptural installations with interactive touchscreens where visitors explore Panama’s wildlife from past and present.
Human Path takes visitors on a journey through time in an outdoor installation with an accompanying musical composition by the Grammy-award winning artist Danilo Perez. Other highlights include a large-scale 3D animation depicting the clash of prehistoric animals because of Panama’s land bridge and a 10-screen, interactive biodiversity wall.
