Our partners at IKD repurposed three historic arch openings, turning them into projection surfaces. RLMG filled these niches with animations of artworks from the museum’s collection, depicting armor in active use across different cultures and time periods, blurring the line between physical space and digital content.

The animations put once-static depictions of arts and armor in motion. A mural seen on the wall of the rear gallery, for instance, is projected onto the window “portals” and brought alive through graceful, subtle movement. Arrows are fired from one digital pane to another and flower petals drift from window to window, bringing movement and character to the gallery space.

In other pieces, sunbeams move across a painted interior, and a river flows within an ancient print. Complementing the stunning casework and exhibit design, our animated pieces act as elegant enhancements to a largely object-based gallery, and become their own works of digital art.
